How do I know if my electric skateboard motor is failing?

Signs of a failing motor include unusual noises such as grinding or clicking, noticeable power loss during acceleration, excessive vibrations while riding, or a motor that simply refuses to spin. If you notice any of these symptoms, it's time to consider a replacement.

Can I replace the motor on my Evolve myself?

Yes, motor replacement is an accessible operation with the right tools. Evolve provides detailed video tutorials on YouTube that guide you step by step according to your skateboard model. Expect about 30 minutes to complete the full replacement.

Are Evolve motors sold individually or in pairs?

Each order includes one motor only. Since Evolve skateboards are equipped with two motors, if you need to replace both, remember to order two units separately. This also allows you to replace only the failing motor if the other one is still working perfectly.

What's the difference between the 1500W, 3000W and 3500W motors?

The motor power corresponds to your skateboard generation. The 1500W motors equip GT, GTX and GTR 1 models. The 3000W motors are designed for Hadean and GTR 2 with more torque. The 3500W motors from the Diablo series offer maximum power for extreme performance.

What is the average lifespan of an Evolve motor?

Evolve brushless motors are designed to last several thousand kilometers under normal usage conditions. Lifespan depends on riding style, terrain and maintenance. Regular bearing maintenance and reasonable riding significantly extend motor longevity.

Are replacement motors covered by Evolve warranty?

Yes, all replacement motors purchased from our official store are covered by the 12-month Evolve warranty. This warranty covers manufacturing defects but not normal wear and tear or damage caused by improper installation or use.
